Modern 1 KETCHUM

Modern 1 KETCHUM is a Ballet class at Footlight Dance Centre.

At Footlight Dance Centre · Ages 10-13

Modern 1 introduces dancers to contemporary dance technique, expanding movement vocabulary well beyond classical ballet to include floor work, fall and recovery, contract and release, and the dynamic use of gravity. Rooted in the principles of ballet alignment, this class develops technical skills alongside creative expression — including both solo and group improvisation. Dancers discover their individual movement voice while building artistry, spatial awareness, and a sense of connection within the group. Enrollment: Open enrollment for ages 10–13. No prior modern or contemporary dance experience required.
