Jazz classes build on the technique and discipline developed in ballet while introducing dancers to dynamic movement, turns, leaps, flexibility, and performance quality. Classes focus on proper technique, strength, musicality, style, and confidence as dancers continue to grow in both artistry and athleticism. At Footnotes, jazz placement corresponds with each dancer's ballet level. Because ballet provides the technical foundation for jazz, dancers must also be enrolled in a ballet class. Students will typically move to the next jazz level as they advance in ballet, ensuring they receive consistent training and continue developing with dancers of similar technical ability.
