In this class dancers will concentrate on understanding ballet terminology and the execution of proper techniques. This class includes exercises at barre, in the center, and across the floor. Ballet will increase a dancer's posture, flexibility, body awareness, balance, coordination, self-discipline and self-confidence. Your dancer's ballet training can help them to improve in other genres of dance such as lyrical, contemporary, and jazz. This class does not require registration in a combo class. Dancers must wear a black leotard and pink or skin tone dance tights, no exceptions. Hair should be pulled back in a bun. Please see KFDA Dress Code Policy for details. Ballet is a prerequisite for competition team consideration.
