Contemporary II

Contemporary II is a Ballet class at Borne Arts Collective in Sacramento.

An intermediate contemporary class that focuses on blending different styles of dance to help push students to be more diverse dancers. Students start with a warm up that includes basic stretches and exercises to build strength. After warm up students work on technique exercises including kicks and pirouettes before moving on to a combination. Combinations change every few weeks and focus on different styles of contemporary and incorporate movements inspired by a blend of jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern, and gestural and emotional movements. Students in this class will also get opportunities to self choreograph and work on their improv skills.
