At Ashland Dance Academy · $75

Lyrical dance combines the techniques of classical ballet and jazz with elements of modern dance to create a style focused on emotion, expression, and storytelling through movement. Classes include warm-ups, isolations, stretching, across-the-floor progressions, and choreography combinations designed to develop strength, flexibility, musicality, and performance quality. Dancers will explore the connection between movement and music while building confidence, personal expression, and artistry through expressive choreography. This class is designed for dancers who enjoy physical challenges, technical growth, and using movement to communicate feeling and emotion. A class syllabus is used, along with positive feedback to encourage the dancer. ***Dancers must be currently enrolled in a ballet class to register for Lyrical.***
