Elementary 2 Ballet is a Ballet class at Studio North Dance Arts.

GRADE: Fifth grade and above (ages 10 & up) PRE-REQUISITES: none PROGRAM LENGTH: 2-4 years depending on individual student skill mastery and progress Elementary 2 Ballet is our advanced beginner class for new students ages 10 & up as well as continuing students from Elementary 1. This multi-level class introduces foundational ballet technique to new dancers while continuing to strengthen and build upon the base already developed by returning students. Class will focus on proper alignment, turnout, and basic ballet vocabulary through barre work, centre work, and simple traveling progressions, helping all dancers gain strength, flexibility, and coordination at a pace suited to their experience level. We strongly recommend a second weekly ballet class to aid in and accelerate student development. For those desiring to go on pointe in the future, a second ballet class sooner rather than later in training is imperative. CLASS REQUIREMENTS: - Students must be at least in fifth grade/10 years of age by August 31st of the given school year. -Student must maintain an 75% attendance record for the school year. Make-up classes should be taken within one month of absences to reinforce skills being learned. - If a student's attendance average falls below the minimum requirement, a meeting may be arranged to discuss student's participation in class and/or the recital to be sure the student is learning the necessary skills and can be successful in class and on the stage. The cost shown reflects monthly installment plan pricing. Total tuition due is determined on the number of classes remaining in the season at the time of registration.
