An introduction to contemporary dance as a unique genre. Dancers will learn to express their emotions through movement and grow in their musicality while expanding their movement vocabulary. Fundamentals of modern dance will be incorporated as well. Girls Class Dress Code: Leotard and tights or leggings/bike shorts and fitted top with bare feet. Hair should be secured and out of the face. Loose t-shirts, short athletic shorts, and bra tops worn alone are not appropriate. Boys Class Dress Code: Athletic wear that allows freedom of movement with bare feet. Recital Costumes: Level 2 and above students will have separate costumes for each non-ballet class they are enrolled in. See website for more information.
