Ballet is the backbone of all dance training. In ballet, students learn grace, elegance, technique, discipline, flexibility, stamina, and endurance. This class is a graded system using Russian and Italian methods. The class is divided into time at the barre, center, adagio, and variations. Jazz teaches sharp and fluid movements to create a visually technical dance and style, with dancing done to popular music. Body isolations, stretches, turning, leaping, and technical steps are all taught. This class is appropriate for dancers ages 12 and up that have previous ballet experience.
