Attire: Dancers can wear the leotard/dance outfit of your choice. Ballet and tap shoes must be purchased from JHDA so we can assure they are the proper style and fit. Hair needs to be tied back away from the face. Classroom Policies: When you enter JHDA please wait in the lobby until the teacher or receptionist directs you to your classroom. This is an independent class where dancers are expected to enter the classroom by themselves and all family members must remain in the hall and watch from the observation windows. If a dancer is not ready to go into the classroom independently we recommend the Tiny Two’s class. Dancers will start class in ballet shoes and when it is time to change into tap shoes the teacher will bring the students into the hallway/lobby for the parent/chaperone to change their shoes.
