Beginning Contemporary introduces students to the foundations of contemporary dance through movement that builds strength, coordination, creativity, and self-expression. Dancers develop musicality, floor work, balance, and improvisation while exploring dynamic movement in a supportive and engaging environment. Dress code: Black leggings or fitted pants with a black, white, or pink leotard or fitted tank or tee shirt. Dancers should not wear tights, shoes, or socks as foot coverings. Hair should be secured in a bun, ponytail, or other neat hairstyle. No large jewelry.
