Ballet 2.5 is designed for students who have completed proficiency in Beginning Ballet and Ballet 1 and Ballet 2. It is a class for students who meet the demands of technical proficiency, but are not quite ready for the rigor of Ballet 3. Class is focused on technical development, strength development, and skill proficiency and includes barre, center, pirouettes, small jumps, large jumps, and choreography. Students are expected to arrive prepared, focused, and receptive to feedback for their improvement. Dress code: Black, white, or pink leotard, tights, optional ballet skirt or fitted dance shorts. Alternatively, black leggings and a white fitted top. Split sole-canvas ballet shoes required. Hair must be secured in a bun or other neat hairstyle. No large jewelry. New dancers should connect with Ms. Alia for an assessment and proper placement.
